I'm not even a coffee drinker, but I still think these are cool, if not a wee bit cheesy.

Question.

Do any of you know of a program that will automatically title my screen caps if I give them a specific name? I know there are programs that do this, but I'm not aware of any off hand. Otherwise those 1000+ caps I made are going to have to be manually named for the sake of organization and I'd really like to spare myself the trouble. So, if someone could point me in the right direction, that'd be super.

Thanks!

Vroom, vroom!

As of next month I'm trading in my two cars, since one is totally ghetto fabulous and the other is relatively nice, but it's a granny mobile ( Buick Lesabre, people - ulgh! )and I really can't stand it. So, I'm going to either buy a new car or get a newly used car, really depends on what sort of interest rate we can swing and what sort of deal my cousin can work out for us, since we're going through his dealership - I just haven't decided which one!

I already have two make/models running through my head, but I'm curious what ya'll have to say? What do you drive, how long have you had it and what sort of mileage does it get? Give me some suggestions!

<3 Thanks.

Wtfcold!

Back from Nikki's, had fun, there was lots of "Heroes" goodness to be seen. I've finally seen the entire first season and am now addicted and downloading the rest of season two. My brain has melted. Sylar has eaten my brain's. Bwuahahaha!

In other news, it's fucking cold out. It's worse in Lutz, ten degree difference than here in St. Petersburg - IT'S BAD ENOUGH HERE! Baaaah. Plz to be warm again.

I think [info]darlas_mom needs to start sending me those fic's right about now. I need a fix, woman! <3

Happy New, New Year, folks!

Holiday season is always insane for me, so I haven’t been able to update as much as I did before the frenzy that is Christmas descended upon us. In a way, I’m sad to see it go, but I’m happy to be getting back to the normal groove of things. Tom and I both had, surprisingly, good times with our respective families. This year was a far less stressful Christmas than last year, considering his father and stepmother decided to be decent human beings and act civil, if not alarmingly kind. Of course, for this to happen, his stepmother and I had to engage in an all out shouting match (yes, I caused it – I was over it) before I could get the woman to see reason. Thankfully, that is now behind us.

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I finally met Tom’s sister Kristen. Luckily she turned out to be a nice gal, because I’d heard some pretty rotten things (seeing a pattern?) but they were for naught by the end of her visit. I also was able to meet Bobbie’s sister Jeanne, who turned out to be an incredibly sweet and interesting person. I don’t know how long Tom and I spent with her in those few days, listening to some of the wild stories she’d collected being the head of the Port Authority in NYC and then establishing civilian air transport in Iraq – you could imagine.

On a personal level, I’m doing very well, as is Tom. I did enjoy the holidays, despite my Scrooge esque griping in regard to the horrible flow of traffic or just holiday shoppers in general. Thankfully our car also survived these holiday menaces, as well. In the end, Tom made out with a Wii, a slew of games, accessories, clothes, money and some practical things. I got stainless steel pots and pans from mom (which I’d been wanting for a good forever) clothing, jewelry, money and a laptop from dad. So, all in all, I think it turned out rather well.

New Years Eve was spent at home with Tom; we decided not to do anything. I don’t drink much these days, so we skipped the alcohol and just curled up in bed with some of my new X-Files DVD’s and rang in the New Year with a little government conspiracy. Yesterday we had a cookout at mom’s, which was nice and mom got to break out the new grill Tom and I bought her for Christmas. Needless to say, it makes awesome hamburgers. We didn’t get in until late, so by the time we walked in the door I was ready for bed. I swear, analyzing this past holiday season, I have turned into such an old lady.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season and a safe New Years Eve. Lets hope for a wonderful 2008 with lots of positive experiences and accomplishments for everyone. Huzzah!

Lolpolitics.

If you're easily offended by differing political views, I'd ignore this. I don't often bother, but I'm getting sick of this crap and before anyone starts throwing the 'patriot' word around, I support our military one hundred percent. Bite me.

"Iran was dangerous, Iran is dangerous and Iran will be dangerous if they have the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon." - President Bush.

So, let me break this down. Currently (and ignoring otherwise dropped projects) Britain, China, France, India, Pakistan, Russia, Israel, North Korea, Iran, South Africa, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine all have nuclear weapon capabilities, regardless of whether or not they're acting upon them. I'm sure I'm missing some.

I'm as much for the abolishing of nuclear weapons as the next guy, but this is just hairbrained and misguided. There is a way you do things . . . and this is not it.

We blowed pplz up nao, plz? People wonder why the world hates us. Our government is full of a bunch of corrupt asshats. Way to go, Dubya. Maybe we could stop playing war games with kamikaze countries and focus a little more of that annual budget on the problems with our own country?

Settling back in.

Holiday season is always crazy, isn't it? I know things have certainly been a madhouse for me and mine since the fuss of Thanksgiving settled in. The entire family has somehow managed to come down with a charming case of bronchitis and is thus enjoying a stay with misery until the antibiotics work their will and get rid of this illness fiasco.

"Black Friday" wasn't near as insane as I initially thought it would be. Tom and I waited until mid-afternoon before heading out and hitting a few stores. I went ahead and did the majority of browsing online before going to said stores, since I knew a lot of things were going to be sold out. In any event, we ended up buying half of "Old Navy" (have some jeans!) and a few things here and there at "Best Buy" that we absolutely (didn't) needed.

Phew! Gearing up for holiday season is taxing, my friends!

Is anyone else going through "Supernatural" withdrawel? I've been trying to fill the hole with episodes of "Dark Angel" and S2 "Supernatural" until the hiatus is over. My world is askew!

'For he will do as he do do, and there's no doing anything about it!'

So, I just walked Tom out to the car, since he's heading back to St. Petersburg for work tomorrow. I'm emo, naturally, which is silly but understandable, seeing as how we hardly ever have time away from each other. It's just strange, but he'll be heading back up to Brooksville Wednesday night, so I'll try to suck it up until then.

Anyway, in order to cheer myself up, I've convinced the kids to settle 'round the TV and watch the "CATS" dvd with me, since that's one of my favorite Andrew Lloyd Webber productions. Don't laugh at me! I'll sic Macavity on you. =X

No rest for the weary.

Holy cow, ya'll, I am five minutes from crashing. I haven't slept in twenty-four hours and I've driven a total of seven hours so far, back and forth between Tom and I's house, the airport, and my dad's. We got a rather upsetting call last night from my step-mother around 11PM. Her grandmother was diagnosed in the late stages of a very unpleasant form of intestinal cancer and she's probably not going to live to see Christmas.

So, given that my car is in the shop at the moment (can I express how much I hate computer chips and cars? Seriously?) and Tom is tied up with work, Jen drove out to St. Petersburg at 12AM last night to retreive me. Those of you that know my father will understand that stress does not serve him well, especially when his old friend 'Bud' is involved. So, I'm going to be staying the weekend to help him take care of the kids while she's in Michigan saying goodbye to her Grandmother in the hospital. It's really all quite sad, because Elva is a truly wonderful person and while she's lived a long 87 years, it's never easy to let go.

Anyway. I'm in St. Petersburg for the second time since 3AM, and I'll be heading back to Brooksville in about four hours, I just have to pick my sister up from school before we leave. I'd really, really love to get some sleep in between now and then, but the further the hours stretch on, the less likely sleep for Lala is.

God, help me. I'm turning into a zombie.

EyeCon planning.

Okay, quick question concerning those of you going to EyeCon in April. What tickets have you bought or what tickets are you considering buying? The website just posted that "Platinum A (reserved row 1 seating)" is now sold out. Row 2 and 3 are still available as are the rest of the con tickets they're offering. I need to know what you guy's are going for if you're going.

Pricing beneath for length! )

Edit: I'm thinking I might leave the boyfriend behind the more I consider it, because really, he probably doesn't want to experience my gushing over the hotsex that is "Supernatural" and the boy(s). More fun with just the girls? Hrm!

No, I haven't fallen into the pit of despair.

Gosh, I haven't written an update in forever, guys. Things have been really, really super duper busy lately and I've just been totally ADD with writing journal entries and online activity as a whole.

Abi and John were in town for a week and just left this past Tuesday, and while I didn't get to spend as much time with them as I would have liked, we did manage to catch up for a few days. They checked out some houses while they were in town, since John is nearing his last year in the Army and once that comes around they'll be able to relocate to St. Petersburg (home) for good. I'm not sure if John is going to reinlist or not, because there's a large possibility that he would have to serve another tour in Iraq if he were to do that. So, I'm rather hoping he calls it quits, sticks with recruiting and those two can get their tails back to the South sooner rather than later.

On the family front, I've been in and out of the doctor and hospital with my mother quite a bit lately. Its nothing serious this go round, but it's just another discomfort in a series of health related issues that she's been contending with for the past three months. Needless to say, we'll all be relieved when this is wrangled under control.

Holidays are approaching and with that comes the traditional running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I believe Tom and I have finally decided to tell his parents to shove it and bypass their drama for this holiday season. Instead we'll be heading up to Brooksville for turkey day, where dad is hosting some twenty family members and a feast fit for an army. It's going to be positively insane, but the reason behind this is because two of the boys will be shipping out to Iraq, again, literally two days after Thanksgiving. So, we're all trying to get as much time in with them as possible, since the boneheads signed up with special ops and will therefore be gone anywhere from a year to two years.

Mom is going to spend the holiday with her best friend, who'll be in town some time this week. I miss spending Thanksgiving with my mom, I really do, things were so much simpler before extended family and people relocating to Northern states happened. Tom and I would go spend it with her, but her best friends brother-in-law - while a very nice man - is a bit of a stickler when it comes to his tradition. If Martha Stewart were a straight man, it would be brother-in-law John. He and the boys spend all day in the kitchen preparing the meal while the women relax by the pool and commence the female gossiping. Tom doesn't cook gourmet, so this presents a problem, one in which I think we might avoid by simply going to Brooksville.

Speaking of which, [info]siriusxremus what are you doing for the holiday? If you don't already have plans or aren't working, you know the drill. The more the merrier, love!

Talks of Christmas planning are starting, and it's looking like we're going to South Carolina to visit family directly after Christmas. I'm not entirely sure how Tom will be able to get the time off, but we'll see how it goes. I need to see my Grandmother, she's slowly getting taken by Alzheimers and I want as much lucid time with her as possible, because I don't know how much is left, you know? It's depressing, but such is the way of things.

In Febuary, Tom and I have decided that we're going to make a trip to Dallas to visit the normal, likeable half of his family. We'll also be going to Oklahoma to see his mother, which will be nice, because I can't stand his father and step-mother and those are the only two of his family members that live locally. On the upside, we're going to drive (I don't do planes if I don't have to) through Arkansas on the way and stop in at Emryl's in Little Rock to visit and catch up on sleep before driving the rest of the way.

The month of April brings me to EyeCon, which is totally happening. Tom and I are going to buy tickets within the next week. Originally I'd planned to buy them the first day they came available, but I wanted to watch the guest list and process of panel organization before purchasing them. It's ridiculous and sad how much money I'm going to dump into that convention, but it's well worth it to feed my "Supernatural" craving. It'd be the icing on the cake if Jensen showed up, but I'm more than satisfied with Jared and the other guests - Alona ftw! We're going to do the whole weekend, so we'll (hopefully [info]dream_inspired decides to join us - hor!) be buying hotel lodging as well, but I'm still debating on whether or not I wanna play hookie on the Con one day and hit ([info]yourlivewire - hinthintnudgenudge) Disney. Bwuaha! I want to live the magic, damn it.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but for now this is going to have to do, because I'm drawing a blank. Besides, it's Thursday and we all know what that means: SUPERNATURAL FOR THE WIN! My brain generally turns to moosh on this day, which I'm sure some of you can understand. When in doubt, blame the Winchester's. <3

Um. Wut?

We all know how I love my scruffy mountain men, especially Mr. Karl Urban, who I happen to find particularly smexy. So, you have to understand that it pains me to say this, but WHAT THE FUCK are the casting directors thinking in giving him the role as Dr. McCoy in the new Star Trek movie? Seriously? Bones? Buuuuuh? I don't see it, but I'll try . . to reserve judgment until I see it.

Okay, so I was doing some speculating about a month ago. I say speculating, but this usually entails me staying up until 4AM when my brain is cooked from lack of sleep and ideas tend to go from semi-logical to full out batshit insane. So, if this sounds like bullshit, it probably is and disregard it as such!
